This is my very FIRST blog post ever! Please be patient with me as I also go through learning a new hobby. Today I’m just going to start with a get to know me if there are people don’t have any context:)

Hello all, my name is Jazmine, of course. I am about to turn the big 25 on March 9th! I’m married to the man of my dreams. We have two beautiful baby boys, now I know what you’re thinking, yes, we have two beautiful boy DOG’S they are both great at being emotional support animals. I started this journey way back in the year of 2019, when i was attending school in Terra Haute at Indiana State University. I was studying to get a double degree in Spec Ed/Elementary Ed. I know now after everything i have been through that is no longer my passion. I’m still thinking on what my new passion is, I’m sure I’ll get there soon:)

The summer of 2019, I worked at a camp that was struggling with E.coli in the system basically all summer if I can remember right. I also had gone to Panda Express and got food poisoning and gastroenteritis, all partaking in developing a rare blood disease that I will now have for the rest of my life. I’ll get into more details in a later post, to really get the FULL story.

Around November of 2019, I was always not feeling well at all. Making a lot of excuses to see an actual doctor. Spending money was all I was worried about only because i only had college cash for on campus food. Unfortunately went till about the end of February of 2020 to finally get checked out. I was very anemic, creatinine was 17. Instantly straight to the ER with a bed open and waiting for me. Stage 5 kidney disease.

In July of 2020, they finally discovered a rare blood disease that I also had. This topic is another that I will be going deeper into the back story and how it has fit into my lifestyle.

Lasty, I waited on the transplant list very close to 6 years. I’m O Positive so the list is very long. Fortunately, your wait on the list will go back to the day you started dialysis.

This will for sure not be the only time you hear from me. I plan on starting off with one post every week, just i can get the hang of everything:) and let all the emails roll in if they do :) I do have a new email that you guys can send to, you can find it on the front page:)

Thank you so much for reading! I’m praying for you, and hoping you come back next week for another update of my New Adventure with a new Kidney :)
